Welcome to the 2017-18 School Year!
Please review these annual notices and sign and return the “Parent Receipt and Acknowledgement” located in your child's home packet so that we know you have read and understand all that is posted.
Parent Volunteer Resources
At Harvest Ridge School, we LOVE our parent volunteers! In order to facilitate the process for our parent volunteers, we are hoping that you will take some time as the school year gets started to get all your paperwork in order to be ready. So, what's required for a parent volunteer?
- Fingerprint Clearance - All volunteers must have fingerprint clearance in the Newcastle Elementary School District through the Department of Justice and the FBI. This clearance is good for seven years. This FORM can be printed and taken to any Live Scan vendor for processing.
- Tuberculosis Risk Assessment - A new requirement this year is a Tuberculosis Risk Assessment for all volunteers and school employees. This FORM must be filled out and signed off by a health care provider. If no risk factors are present, then requirements are met for the parent/employee and the school keeps the form on file. If risk factors are present, then the volunteer/employee has a TB test done to verify a negative TB screening. Need more information? Click HERE to read more.
- Parent Driver Clearance - All parents who are interested in driving students on a field trip must have a YEARLY Parent Driver Packet on file with the school. Because this information needs to be updated each year, the school office does not keep copies from year to year. The packet can be downloaded HERE and turned in with supporting documents to the school office.
